Young Person's Support Worker
Flexible, ad hoc shift work available in Aylesbury working with vulnerable young people in a home environment.
Working with a team, you will provide support to promote the safety, health and independence of the clients who have emotional behavioural difficulties. They may also have substance misuse issues or be young offenders.
Using your skills in empathy, nurturing and rapport building, you will help the young people develop life skills and regain their confidence. You will also organise and take part in everyday activities such as cooking and mealtimes, appointments, learning and leisure.
This is challenging work but you will get a real sense of achievement through changing the vulnerable young people’s lives for the better. You need to be a resilient individual with the ability to positively influence. It is essential that candidates have previous experience of working with young people with challenging behaviour to be considered for these roles.
The home is staffed 24/7 so the shifts include early daytime, late daytime and nights.
Applicants will need to either have an enhanced DBS with the live update service or carry out one with our agency which we will pay for.
